Immerse yourself in the timeless art of basketry on this full day course.
Working with willow grown sustainably in the UK learn how to weave your own round basket.
Over the day you will learn a variety of techniques including a pairing weave, 3-rod wale, French rand and your choice of border.
This course is perfect for beginners and we will guide you through each stage of the basket weaving process.
Refreshments provided but you will need to bring your own lunch.
This course takes place in the Old Tractor Shed at Heartwood Social Farming Centre – a beautiful farm on the top of hill just outside Matlock, with far reaching views. The farm is all about restorative agriculture – finding ways to farm sustainably whilst creating a haven for wildlife and providing nature connection opportunities for people.
